As promised we’re back with details of Headline’s List Mode UI, including a full screenshot. The list mode is one of the most important parts of the application. Let’s explore this in more detail.

You may notice a few changes from our previous posts. This is because we are working hard to make sure Headline has the best and most beautiful UI possible.

Let’s start with the top. We’ve got a header bar that shows you the name of the feed, the number of unread items, the feed’s description, and sort buttons. This area is useful to quickly get a summary of the feed you’re currently viewing.

Directly underneath the header is the feed item list. Each one displays the title and date of the article, and unread items show a quick summary. In the future the look of this will probably change. We’re planning to make the “read” items smaller rows.

This is an actual screenshot from the current build of Headline. Keep in mind, things will probably change a little bit. So with that in mind, what do you think? Let us know in the comments!
